Looks really nice. The 250 came in around R40k brand new. Wonder how much more the extra 60cc will cost

250?
My bad. Bikers Warehouse in Jozi distributes the TVS on this side. They had another 250 (Just had a look at their website now and it's the G-Force 250 RR)

That sounds more like the Honda I know.dropped my bike at Honda this morning, eating brekkie while they work... mentioned to the service advisor about my ordeal at Honda Centurion.
He was shocked to learn that just the fitting of the harness took almost 3 weeks. Said they would've done it 1 day, 2 days at most.

and his mouth hung open when i told him that they worked on the bike in an empty office, and not the workshop

Where was this Honda located?
The good one (thus far). East Rand... Boksburg.
I'm thinking quite seriously of downgrading from my 1200GS LC to a 310GS. I mainly commute on that bike with the long distance riding few and far inbetween. Having a KTM 690 for the dirt outrides and stuff means my wife can take the 310 when we want to go for a weekend away and I can take the 690.
I would need a test ride to see what it feels like at 120km/h though.
Top speed is only around 140 and a bit on the 310GS. It's also a LOT smaller than the 1200GS.
Felt like a kiddies bike when I sat on one the last time I went for a service
Slapdash, are you set on BMW or open to other brands? Would you not consider looking at a 650 or thereabouts?
Enough grunt for the odd freeway stint even with a pillion and the BMW 650 mills are very frugal
