Pull up to a traffic light this morning lane splitting, stopping behind another bike. BFGS, spirit helmet. The guy riding it has got little legs like twigs I can see with his tight jean pant on.

I can't figure what he's doing though, he seems to fiddle this way and that, all while the robot is still red.

Next moment he turns around, to greet me. His helmet is a flip up.

I schit you not, the dude has a lit cigarette in his mouth :crylaugh:

Finaly had an excuse to buy and fit the white walls to my bike.
The original Michelin Harley branded Rear tyre was finished (bikes on 14000km's now). So I sourced a 170/70/16 rear (OEM is 150/80/16) and Std sized front tyre.

Got the tyres from Flying brick in Paarden Eiland, ordered on 1 Feb arrived on 6 Feb.

Dropped the tyres at Cape Bike Tyre in Woodstock (close to home), then took the bike in on Saturday to fit the tyres.

Henk was awesome, attended to it immediately, within an hour I was back on the road with the bike, after the obligatory chat and warning about new bike tyres needing a scrub before proper grip is achieved.

Front tyre fitted.

That 170 wide makes a huge difference. Now to side mount the plate and clean up the rear.

Not a huge fan of Harley Davidson but there are some gems in these pics.

First is the Honda XR in the workshop pic, love to have one of those today!

Next up is the Yamaha SR400 thumper in the second pic (it's on the other side of your bike from where the pic was taken. The SR400 was intended to be a Cafe Racer type bike, bare bones from the factory with modders in mind. Very cool bike.

Lol ... even thou the scooter might make it ... my ass will probibly not ... :p
Think the "road bikes" will have to meet the off-roaders at a set location ...
