In other pleasant news, I am getting my excess back from last year when that lady drove into me :D Feels like "free" money, so now to figure out what to spend it on :p

So lately I've been lusting after a Duke, and it used to pendulum between a 390 (for commuting) and 690R (because reasons), and then someone here mentioned the 790... So thank you for that.

test riding a kawa versys 300 tomorrow, commute daily between centurion and sandton on a 660 tenere, looking for a change had it for 7 years 55-000ks. it looks like fun, very two stroke like and not badly sized. less is more is my thinking. I personally dislike heavy bikes. anyone have one and can give feedback or tips?

300 is a small motor man, coming from the Tenere I think you're going to cry on your way home from work. Maybe a KTM 390 Duke or something would be better.

yeah I hear you, but it's a parallel twin, and revs to 14-000 rpm. 40 odd hp. hoping it's going to be a little wild fire.

I'm betting it's going to be *** boring compared to your 660.

That being said it can also be fun to frugal in a weird way.

Been riding this bike since October , it handles very well and is fairly light it pulls like a train especially since i fitted the akro pipe .
So far i have taken it to 220 and very stable even in sweeping curves at high speed 180+ .
Only one drawback the seat murders my ass , after about 70Ks i have to stop and give my ass a rest but that will soon be addressed with a modified seat .
Love the bike handles nearly as good as my 690 duke .
