A bike will only go as fast as you want it to. The problem isn't the power, the problem is the temptation to ride like a maniac when it could be dangerous.

The MT09 might have a lot more power than you are used to, but almost all bikes nowadays have nice linear power. So unless you uncontrollable twitching of your right arm you should be fine.

I have only two negatives about the MT07, the first is that in Europe it's cheaper than the Honda NC but here it's more expensive.

The second is that you HAVE to get rid of the stock exhaust if it still has one. That twin needs to rumble.
No sure it was just a joke.

Once you can ride by muscle memory you don't need to limit power in any way as you say.

But I wouldn't have a Speed Triple for his purposes for the very reason I bought a Street instead. It's not really that much faster and eats more petrol, tyres and chains.

My new ride. Cost R6000 and the insurance is R25. Fokol power though. Just going to use it between home and gautrain.

I see your bike is featured on the latest episode of The Grand Tour.

Please stop mentioning the MT09. I'm this far (imagine my index and thumb 0.5mm apart) from getting one.

But dont you think its fair towards yourself to spoil yourself. Its money that you worked your ass off so reward yourself.

Nope

I had the MT09 Tracer for about a year.
Suuuuper smooth engine, with just the right amount of intake whistle from the triple.

Was by far the most comfortable bike I've had to date.

Yamaha made musical instruments before anything else.

It's right there in their logo to this day.

Don't be silly, that's just front suspension and them toying with the idea of upside down forks
