Just noticed my front pads are down to like 0.5mm

Seems easy enough to change them though.

Guys, recommendations on a good bike cover, hopefully one with a tie string on the lover section if possible? To he used outdoors to protect bike from weather at work, but won't blow off the bike when the wind picks up....

Pop into a trac-mac, they've got cheapies with a strap underneath. They just don't last more than about 2 years with the wind in CT. I use an extra strap or two to keep the flapping down.

Or pretty much any motorbike store.

That I can do tomorrow, price ranges?

Think I have a bike wise one. Has elastic front and rear so it pulls tight underneath the wheels and an adjustable strap with a clip underneath.

Lekker, I'll go chat to the guys at Bellville branch tomorrow. Can't let me new girlfriend stand in the sun at work....

Sigh.

Breakfast run, maybe Franschoek, grabouw, rooiels would have been a great way to get close to first service (and all the unlocks that come with it) but work said nope.

Instead I get to sit in a factory in joburg this morning, botswana tomorrow.

Can only go for a ride next Friday..... When it will probably be raining in CT

I approve of the colours. Classic suzuki is a win.

Although a buddy of mine has a limited edition GSX with the yellow scheme. Also nice.

So I got BMW to change the paint colour and remove an R from the bike.

Decided that spending 90% of the time commuting was not the best use of a superbike.

So traded-in to 90% of the RR with a lot more comfort.

Now I just need to put on another 900km so that they can remove the limiter. View attachment 523551

Ha ha ha.

Getting old eh? Why not go XR then?

Either way win win and welcome back to naked.

How much did the little misadventure cost if I may ask?

Yup brain dead easy. Don’t need to take wheel off or any of the hassle as with a car.

Jeez sometimes you don’t even need to take calliper off but if you have the tools that is much easier.

Congrats man that is lovely!

Although the sun really shouldn’t do much. I’d want a cover more for parking outside overnight and avoiding condensation and such making *** with brakes and parts and of course rust.

750 or 1000? Can’t read the label.

Ja I have enough tools to change a turbo on a car, this doesn't intimidate me ;) just need to find the best source for the pads. Gonna give randburg motorcycles a call tomorrow, and will try the stealership too, just in case

Traded in 2nd hand superbike for brand new supernaked. Loss of 40k.

Even tho I only road it for 3 days before work flew me away again.... If I had ridden this the first time I would have bought it over the RR. Even with annoying rev limiter it's still fun as hell and it doesn't kill my arms.

How about some pictures of the process when you get down to it?
