OK lads, I know there are several options at that price point. They are all going to be freaking nice bikes, it's good money.

Any past or present Huskie owners though?

Might want to to ask this question on some off road related motorcycle forums, I recall fist hearing about the brand and the chainsaw jokes when a group riding them won some events I was at.

There’s a Husqvarna shop or agent at Pineslopes shopping center in Fourways - same part as Rocomamas. Not sure of their service, haven’t used them.

Anyone here owned a Husqvarna motorcycle?

I was deeply in love with the Nuda and seriously lining up to go test ride one when the news broke that BMW was selling them off to KTM and the local support would disappear.

As an owner of a manufacturer that was killed off completely I wasn't going to even consider taking the hard line on that side.

But now a few years later I think things are looking a bit different and I see more and more of them locally. So who knows?

Still it will be an exotic brand to buy at this point, probably even more so than Ducati.

I had a lawnmower once

:crylaugh: Ja but remember that Subaru and Ferrari are tractors by that measure.

Totally forgot about the Nuda 900 IIRC, also strikingly minimal.

I know what I like and I know how it goes when I have this feeling... Even if I haven't admitted it yet, the Vitpilen 701 has me and I will very likely own one soon.

Buell?

I'd rather have the KTM 790. I like that we have so many options.

Speaking of options and KTM, has anyone seen these ads circulating about Wesbank teaming up with KTM (if I remember from the ad, to make riding more affordable)? What's that all about? Any details? They were rather vague from what I could gather.

Got my new pads, pondering whether to be a lazy ass tonight or go fit them.
fkn R1800, honda are nuts.

Yup very vague but the deal is prime minus 2% if I understand correctly. I am not sure if it's certain models only or all models.

Nice... What's prime nowadays? 11%
That's an almost droolworthy deal, if I could get say, a 390 or 690. To be honest, not sure which one of those I would choose though, big difference in price.

I thought you would have went for the ones from Randburg motorcycles , were they different brands?

Don't rush the job, make sure you have enough time to take pictures for us to learn how to change pads.

I did go to randburg. Was just still shaking my head at the honda price.
Dude, it's super easy. Undo 3 bolts, pull apart, clean, push in pistons, reassemble :p

There's videos on Youtube too :)

Yes, front pads for the NC.
I got them from Randburg Motorcycles for R540...

Ah, sounds much better. On the GSX-R it's all of about 30 minutes to replace the front pads (assuming you don't flush the fluid and so forth). You'd be done with it before your coffee is cold, erm... I mean before your beer is warm :p
