I wonder if the xrays might end up costing more than the replacement. It's not top of the range. I estimate replacement at around R4k.

Best practice dictates replacement - then that's what I'll try push for.

I believe it's like R500 or so but have never done it or even have an idea who to take it too.

I also have one garage, so I started renting another garage in my complex to store my car so I have place for the bike. My wife's car always parked outside anyway, so that stays as is.

Ahh so much work on the klr only to sell it, but i know first hand how it feels to let go of something you rebuilt from the ground up. I'm sure you will get back on two wheels soon.

I have thought about this option as well, but we rely on a car too many times a week unfortunately. If I could replace it with a halftonner bakkie I would, as this gives a person the versatility that is often only ever found with a separate trailer - and then you have to make even more space available in your yard/garage. That being said, my Hyundai has been an absolute champ carting instant lawn around this week.

I put in some long hours into the KLR, but decided it would be best to let go of the thing for now and get another down the line. It's not like there won't be secondhand bikes on the market when I go looking again :)

So after many months of searching I finally found I bike that ticks all the boxes. Picked it up over the weekend and Im loving it so far. The sound is epic and comming from a 250 the power is keeping me timid, I'm easing my way in still havnt pushed past 7k revs yet.

Congrats dude - good looking bike :)

Oh there is one of these that parks by one of my stops, I always admire it, remind me of the model?

Correct, iv always admired the look, glad I finally found one, they are quite elusive. In 2017 they changed the name to GSX-S750 but they not available in SA as far as I know, but the GSX-S1000 is available.

Congrats man.

There is one that parks downstairs here, but is also the only one I've ever seen outside of a dealership so you are quite right on them being quite rare.
