W.r.t. RSS feeds. How about giving a link to the mobile version of the article as well? I use the RSS feeds a lot, but the link to the full article is always to the normal page, which means quite a bit of scrolling to the right in order to read.

I installed a mobile theme with automatic device detection (better that way for now I think). Can you please check if it is working and give feedback?

Thanks, but no thanks.... The mobile forum looks like cr@p on the iPhone\iPod touch. And I don't have a way to let mobile safari identify itself as a desktop version.

Can there please be some way to choose which version of the Forum you want, maybe in profile settings?
