Need Wifi Upstairs

Hi Guys,

I have my modem downstairs in my house but the signal is very weak when I get to my bedroom upstairs.

I was going to go with a normal range extender but apparently they just boost the weak signal further.

Also the Ethernet over power line options seem to be quite expensive and I am not looking to spend more then a couple of hundred rand.

Any suggestions?

This is what I was thinking but I would then need another modem to transmit from upstairs, unless there is a cheaper way?

You could get a little Huawei Mi-Fi device from Telkom for about R600 it has a wifi extender built in.

You could even get the exact router as you have downstairs, setup the exact same way, with the exception of switching off DHCP.
