[Nelspruit] REALLY bad Data access

White River Area

I live in White River and have the same problem here -

I agree with the guys above - Vodacom why don't you attend to this problem? Our debit orders go through every month to the full amount, if not, Vodacom is quick to call and request payment.

We pay 100% as agreed upon in the contract, yet you don't deliver 100%. Fair? Don't think so. It works both ways sir.

I must set the record straight - will never again sign a data contract - I use prepaid, which makes swapping my VC and MTN sims very easy...

My contract also expires towards end of this year - I will keep it in mind.

Bump,
and hoping the new rep will do something for us...

Today the latency on both 3G and EDGE is horrid.
Far worse than dialup

Pretty poor - both up- and downloads just under 1000kbps

Hey wheunis ;)

I also live in Nelspruit and I've got no 3G problems at all, using phone as modem (Nokia N70).

Which suburb do you live in and what do you use to connect with?

Hi All,

I got Antonf`s details just waiting on Wheunis so we can compare the two logs and escalate to Networks.

Thanks

Might be the same guy who phoned me some time ago - after that things improved for a while. Today is one of the cr@ppest days ever - stay connected but 0 download speed, and by that I mean ZERO kbps... Resetting the modem gets it going, but not even long enough to complete a very short internet banking session

Good Morning Guys

The throughput problem in Nelspruit area has been resolved, radio planning and optimization has found an issue on the BTS which they reconfigured and this should now result in better speeds.

Regards
VodacomData

I notice the speeds are a lot more constant.

Still no progress/improvement on the Rx: 0 issue though.
...which is as a matter of fact the main issue I have.

Still no resolve on 3G/HSDPA sometimes not connecting at all; can only connect on GPRS and then switch to 3G/HSDPA after connected. (Error 619)

I'm gonna assume that there is a perfectly good and reasonable explanation as to why this is still not being addressed...

No feedback.
No calls of any sort from any technicians of any kind.

Nothing.
