This is a problem, but it's one that is shared by Iburst and Sentech subscribers (if anybody is still on MyWireless).

As it stands at the moment you have to buy a new device everytime you subscribe even though you may already have a device.

If this is true, then it's definitely a valid concern. Neotel should start allowing people to buy the device outright and use a device from a cancelled contract at reduced monthly rates (the device fee is R80/month AFAIK).

Ja, let us know, cos that is a serious major hurdle if true. Nobody will want to be stuck with useless devices at R600 to R2000.00 a pop.

Can you give us an example where ICASA has rejected any pricing because it was too low or too much features? (I actually wonder if they have ever rejected any pricing?)

Just checked, and I seem to get "Excellent" coverage where I live in Durbanville. Might jump ship from my MTN 3G (prepaid) if the Flex prices are good.
 
Contract???

Lets say we get a 10gig 24 month contract for R599 and in june seacom lands... will we benefit from that (reduced pricing) or will be stuck in a contract for R599 for 24 months

It's a contract, unless there's some fine print that'll be in the favour of the client :rolleyes:

Very disappointing. This is not what I was expecting at all. They are actually charging more for a data only package than they are charging for the data and voice package. In fact it is only a R100 more to move to the unlimited prime option.

Do they really think that people are going to pay more for their supposedly increased speeds (which, if Neoconnect Prime is anything to go on, are not accurate at all) then, IMO, they are sadly mistaken.

Haven't heard anything from them yet. Didn't really expect to, but I suppose they also don't know. I haven't even got a not saying that they received my mail and looking into it. I think Neotel is worse than Telkom.
