Neotel launches consumer services

R999 for uncapped?... thats not too bad in reality, if its not shaped to hell and back...

The rest of the product lineup that I'm reading in that article isn't mindblowingly good, but its acceptable I think.

I do need to know what type of price its going to cost to upgrade to a newer product if/when they release wimax and other technologies.

Going to see if we can cancel the one adsl line and acc at work and replace it with a neotel one :)

At long last they have arrived.

No negative comments from my side, except that I'm welcoming them to the market :)

hahahah good to see the comments have changed so quickly :)

I'm not too phased out by their small roll-out area. Telskum and the others will be forced to re-visit their prices and their packages and then everyone will benefit.

Interesting times lie ahead :)

Have they got news servers yet or can I connect using my WA and IS accounts via them?

Now imagine when seacom lands. That R999 will drop sharply. Unlimited wimax, here we come, for say R300-R400 quite easily.

I dont think they do. But you can always use easynews. There is no benefit with them surfing local.

My sentiments towards Neotottie have not changed, I do not think they're making a big enough splash in the market or coming with innovative enough products.

BUT R999 for uncapped is not an exorbitantly priced product, its just expensive still.

Aggressive pricing indeed. Ons should not discard the added voice and SMS value...

Now i just wimax, and R999, and im set for now. :p

As borat would say. niice

I don't think Telkom are going to do anything for a few months at least... not till NeoTel are nationwide - then Telkom might wake up.

I like these packages, don't have a problem with any of them. I think that they will kill iBurst and take a lot of business from the 3g operators.

I wont sign up with them just yet... for the same old reasons

1: Device
2: Contract
3: Wireless

but good progress on their part, I can't wait for fixed line offerings !

Compared to any other offering in SA, R999 for unlimited is damn good. But still way too expensive in real world terms.

But still a step in the right direction none-the-less.

I hope and pray this is the start of something good. Hopefully Telkom will be forced to repsond. But I'm not holding my breath.
