I'm not so sure about Sunninghill, see latest result:

Download Speed: 82 kbps (10.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 17 kbps (2.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Well got home and my connection seems to be worse, down to 180 kb/s at most now.
 
@ nk1: Your results have been noted and sent to the technical team. I will get a techie to contact you to carry out some phone parameter tests.

@ Revolving: As per PM the solution has not been deployed in CPT yet.

I'm getting realslow downloads in edenvale... guys on the helpline(technical) cannot seem to help.. I wait 48hours the call and have to wait another 48hours and it goes on and on... started new business in jhb and am tempted to call hellcom and ask for a line with adsl.. my unit worked so well in Durban.. but now it's shocking.. anyone else had this experience?

From 200k to 20k than back to 100k.
Jumping up and down.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 59 kbps (7.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 50 kbps (6.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

After upgrade => Not stable!
 
ok seems like im back to pre-weekend speeds of 700kbps down and 300 kbps up - unless theres alot of traffic tonight?

Will test again tomorrow.

Hi, please can you give me an update? I tried to call you helpdesk today to speak to a 'Charles' and that was a wasted effort on my part - I gave up after being transferred from your helpdesk to 'Absa' :confused: after 5 attempts.

To cut a long story short - I'm am tired of being screwed around without a solution from your side and still paying R999 a month for a service that is not usable and speeds hovering at 60kps -
If you cannot get something concrete by this Friday then please expect a PM with my details where you can forward the cancellation form.

My connection has gone from tolerable to the nightmare it was in Feb. I realize network upgrades are happening but seriously. The network should never have needed to be upgraded in the first place considering Neotel's user base isn't very big. Contingency plans should have been in place in case something like this happened. When is Cape Town being upgrade?

My line is back up and working, not great but usable. Im getting perma 50KB/s

Bedfordview, green light on neoflex but ZERO internet.

Yesterday was fine, is there work being done on it or what is the problem ?
 
Parktown, Joburg... used to be like ADSL, last week or so the speed and responsiveness is more like HSDPA and getting worse day by day.

Bandwidth still fluctuating Getting Max of 30KB/s DL for 10 Seconds and then nothing for 4 to 5 Seconds then 30KB/s for 10 seconds and so on, watching a 2min video on youtube now takes 6 min to load to watch 2min? Use to click play and it would buffer faster than it could play. It is getting quite frustrating to surf the net these days and at R1000 per month I don't expect that. And the call center just keeps saying that they are experiencing problems in the area, even if I give them a diffrent area. :confused:

We have not carried out optimisation in the Pretoria region as yet.

The upgrades / optimisation results based on feedback from customers located in the areas where upgrades were done are being analysed and adjustments will be made as part of the 2nd phase.

Once the feedback is positive will the solution be applied to the rest of the network.
