Neotel network speed degradation update

Oh my goodness something was definitely done. :D my connection is flying

Download Speed: 1632 kbps (204 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 52 kbps (6.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Almost brings a tear to my eye :D

Rofl... for some people, the fix they did last night worked, but for others it just went from bad to worse :/
I was dl'ing at 160kB/s last week, but slowly and surely I've been degraded to this:



not cool... :\
I hope it gets fixed soon

Just a reminder that there are several phases to the optimisation so some might see an immediate improvement and other not.

Yeah,

Same problem, today its back to normal slow speeds, at least we know they can make it work, now just to keep it working,

common neotel, were really trying to give you guys a chance

Still going fantastically for me! Achieved theoretical max for neoflex...

Dload speed: 3361kbps
Upload: 487kbps
Ping: 180ms
Time: 11:25pm 08/03/2009

 
possibly, but other tests confirm otherwise. neotel speed test is similar, surfing is faster... Normal dloading doesnt get those speed - prolly only 2mbps, but speedtest.net does show burst speed, not avg.
 
My tests show that it's even worse than before in Paulshof. My signal strength dropped from always green to orange.

No change in my area,

still between 150 and 250.
 
I think my antenna is starting to do its job. I unplugged it yesterday and tried to use the modem as normal with its own antennas, and I was only getting orange signal. Didnt do a speedtest tho, but I used to get green. Doesnt really affect me since I have an antenna.

4 Full Bars on phone, RSSI of 70.

250Kb/s downloads and 40Kb/s uploads.
Latency 600-2000ms.
Location: Rosebank in Cape Town

This sucks.
 
Im still stuck at around 200kb/s....

Hey ushir, what antenna do you have and what RSSI do you get? Oh and where do you stay? And also what PN do you have (tower number, option right under RSSI, dial *#2368*#07# to get menu)?
