Neotel - Operator state and plans for the future

Had they focussed on customer service and a decent offering they would be looking MUCH better today because everyone WANTED them to be Telkom's destroyer. Oh well. I fell for their tricks myself. Won't be fooled again.
 
OK, wow... I just noticed that I finally have coverage on my residence in Alberton. Whoopie! After four years.

I know people that have been watching steaming video on their PHONES over 2 years ago

what are you going to claim next? That Facebook is "The Next big Development"?
that Skype can be used to call people?
that search engines like google are needed?
that we can have free e-mail accounts with yahoo?
that IRC is the future?
that our 56K modems may emit "beep-beep bleeeugg grrrrrrr ga dong-di-dong-dong" sounds?
 
WTF, 300 CDMA towers in 4 years? ha, I think Telkom have more than that

now they want to use the copper if LLU happens.

not looking to good, anyways R499 for 5GB , Cell C might be giving it away for R167 for 5GB

What world is this guy living in - 512kbps? It just frustrates me how clueless the bosses of the telecom industry truly are.
 
F%$K Neotel .. really .. what the %$#@ do they want access to the local loop for .. their last mile is WIRELESS ... and they cant even offer THAT at a decent price ... whats gonna happen when Telkom charge them for access to the local loop .. are they going to up their prices ??? sounds like a SUPER business plan .. actually Neotel .. you basically gave the consumer the middle finger .. dont be surprised when you need the consumer market, and all you get is a middle finger back ... hope you %#$& off and DIE .... you were supposed to save us .. instead you got naked .. and curled up in bed with the devil.
 
Reading about Neotel 4 years on, I had Deja Vu about My Wireless. Have they perhaps taken on staff from Sentech?
 
Please don't waste your time I am close to Alberton with full coverage, Applied 8 weeks back and no reply from them I have now just cancelled. NEOTEL is 1000 times worse then Telkom. No body should sing up with NEOFAIL.

Well considering that I asked them to notify me when they I got coverage... and I have never heard from them... I can believe you. :D

I would love to see what would Neotel do with LLU. And actually 512kb is a big step forward to a broadband society, as we it is currently impossible to stream videos on 384kb.
 
Ok, just to put a drop of reality into this thread,

Its understandable that Neotel's consumer offering isn't highly regarded as that is NOT where the profits for a telecoms company are. Their enterprise stuff is apparently pretty good, and fairly well priced as well.

BUT to only have 300 CDMA towers and 85 WiMax towers after 4 years is pathetic, and to also say that they've passed on the savings is complete twaddle if you ask me, I wasn't aware that their product structure and costing had changed in any way shape or form...
 
No change in price since their consumer products launched.
With them from the beginning.

The only thing Neotel seems to be good at is bringing out new products.
Then everybody hops over, until it becomes unstable and then we wait for the new product again.
First Prime, then Neoflex and now WiMax.

Neotel = FAIL

Just give us an upgrade on the cap for crying out loud.
The Neoflex 5G has remained solid in price and cap since the product launched, way before Seacom was completed.
Stop lying and pass the benefits.
I used to get +/- 80KB on their Prime device.
I'm lucky if I reach that today on my Neoflex device, which is suppose to be superior and meant for small businesses. (LMAO :/)

Stop stealing our money and give us what we pay for OR catch an electical fire and burn to the ground...
