Neotel upgrading some users to WiMax?

fair usage policy on Wimax uncapped

Hi Hugo

Could you maybe elaborate on what the Fair Usage Policy is for Wimax Uncapped? I've read some stuff about a soft cap of 35GB after which your speed is limited.

Now that we've started the move across, can one or two people post speedtests off neotels site, i'm interested to see the results form some still on CDMA (flex)..
From different areas.

but also at least once a week currently post your flex speedtests, see how it improves (if it does increase) over the period. Interetsing to see the reports from all of you.

Rapidblue, and evryone else, stop using speedtest.net. Use our speedtest tool, the speedtest.net has higher latencies and lower output due to nature of that site.
As well, when you do a speedtest, make sure you don't have multiple net applications running, this will also dratsically affect the true results of your test.

Must agree with SharkBait here - not gonna test with Neotel's speedtest - I don't want to know what my speed is between my house and Neotel - the websites I surf are not located on Neotel's servers...
And when I do my speed test I DO close all apps to make sure the speed test get's the highest speeds available...
 
That's exciting! My wimax aerial has been installed - waiting for them to link it to the bay station.
 
Wimax Order

Hi Hugo,

I have been trying to get someone to take a WIMAX order for the last week, to replace my neoflex 15G solution. Every time I speak to the call center they tell me they cant take the order and somebody needs to phone me back. I have asked for this 5 times and no call backs, please if you can sort this out I would really appreciate it.

Yay so I've been provided with my Wimax details (after much phoning the call center). Uber stoked to see the speeds of this thing later tonight.

One thing I'm highly curious about, and I'm not sure if Hugo can shed any light on this. When I got called asking if I was interesting in migrating to the new wimax service, they told me I would be upgraded from my current Neoconnect Prime 10Gb account to an uncapped one based upon a fair usage policy. However upon further investigation, it seems as though I still keep my 10Gb cap. Did I miss something?
 
Speed on my NeFlex is killing me at the moment.

Hope I can get Wi-Max at some point - hint hint...
