Neotel upgrading some users to WiMax?

I was also wondering about WiMax performance, but there don't seem to be much answers.

Also could someone check PN 212? Running at 20kBps this whole weekend... RSSI is 65.

The package we're moving the high end users to is a stable 2mb line. (Prime and Flex)
The higher NeoBroadband WiMax solutions are a different fixed package (4mb, 5mb etc), which you need to manually apply for those lines.
Not available to the move across customers as is. If oyu want the higher speed lines, you need to make a new application, costs and all is for your own.

Only took 1 month and 10 days to receive confirmation to my question, excellent PR I must say!

Come on guys, we all know very well that this will never be implemented, just cancel already and go for an ADSL line!
 
I'm not giving a date, cause even though I stress estimated time and time again, users here go and keep quoting it as it was the communicated date.
So, here's the answer: Watch this space!

hahahahaa...epic fail. It took neotel over two years to officially launch in SA, so what makes you guys think the WiMax would be launched any quicker ??

Thank you for acknowledging the fact we are just "users", so much for being a "valued customer"!

I don't know now your mentality works but how the heck do you expect us "users" to accept such an awful level of service both on the network as well as in public relations only then to rebuke any requests of clarity with a condescending tone?

Every announcement/promise Neotel has brought to the table thus far has been a dissapointment and that is the truth.

Seems more like a 56k dial-up these days :wtf:
 
I heard that some guys have got WiMax in JHB area, nothing in CT yet. Anyone been upgraded?
