Neotel vs Neotel, version two

Every time there is 'new' news it's the same old thing... It has actually become embarrassing.
Hi SlinkyMike

Do you suggest we stop reporting on network problems or poor service levels? It is indeed a recurring theme - just want to know why you find it unacceptable.

Is it not one of the primary purposes of this forum to discuss broadband issues?

MyBB - Keep it coming!!

Neotel is becoming worst and worst!

@RPM, THANK YOU FOR FINALLY ADDRESSING THIS. You are our only hope please please please keep the pressure on NEOTEL (THE WORST TELECOMS COMPANY SA HAS EVER SEEN)

lol and we all thought Neotel would be the saviour on a white horsey :p

Good going Neotel...you've let down thousands of South Africans!

I like the way the article says miscommunication when we have received no communication from them. Their rep was last seen on 26-10-2009 on this forum. I am glad to say I finally cancelled and I am looking forward to a 4 meg telkom line with uncapped axxess.

I think Slinky is referring to "embarassing" for Neotel.

Mybb is about broadband so keep it coming. Even if companies only spit out "coming soons" , we, the consumer will soon realise who are the talkers and who are the doers.

neotell or telkom #2 same thing at the end of the day.

Yea, since Neotel is not actively participating on these forums [not seen the rep saying anything in awhile] , this is the only other place to highlight and hopefully "encourage" Notel to respond or do something or actually realise we don't find their service acceptable.

Neotel is probably the main reason why i went straight to Telkom [quite ironic]. It's unbelievable to think Telkom have better systems in place, and i mean -basic- account management systems and helpdesk systems that is lightyears ahead of these guys. ...and at the end of the day Telkom is still cheaper and more reliable ...seriously, how can anyone do business like this?

You know what really take the cake? When Neotel phone me and the line is breaking up with heavy delays between responses which sounded exactly like a slow VOIP connection with horrible voice quality. I tell the guy to phone me on the landline, same thing. Telecoms company who do not have ability to even have a crisp clear phone connection?

Hi Gentlemen,

I apologise if my intended meaning was a little vague - I was basically just facepalming at the thought of NeoFail stuffing up even more...

Nothing to do with the forum or news articles at all - I know you have taken some flak recently - this was not my intention.

My personal opinion is that even if the news articles themselves sometimes fall short in certain areas, the discussions they ignite are almost always on point, we should be grateful; consider ourselves lucky and continue to foster a climate in which intelligent discussion takes precedence over repetitive memes and other inanity.

The news articles that are posted are a part of that.

...you asked :)

It seems quite clear that Neotel is incapable of doing anything useful. When will a third fixed line operator by licensed? One which will actually use it's fixed line license?

Use it or lose it

Agreed! Wireless sucks....always will! We need ADSL!

Neotel

They cannot even get their 0800 number to work - told them twice it was not working - we have walked away and taken our business elsewhere.

Neotel: That pumpkin orange dog turd you accidentally stepped on and got between your toes...
