Neotel's consumer packages compared

Depends on whether they have some stupid reasonable use policy. If not and you are allowed to max out the unlimited line 24/7 then its a killer deal. (R10 per gig+the sms etc)

And they might throttle p2p anyway ..... knowing SA, it'll happen :(

Lets not jump to conclusions. At 156kbps there is not much room for throttling anyway. e.g. My 384k line is officially shaped too, but I've never seen anything except full speed on P2P.

come seacom we will have the bandwidth we need. Untill then, it just a waiting game.

If you are relating to cost go check the figures, a 100MB international portion from Capetown to Portugal is cheaper than the same connection from Johannesburg to Capetown. I still say that SAT-3 is not even near its cap yet, just keep on thanking your buddies at Telkom and Goverment for this mess we'll still be in for many years.

Neotel dissapoints!!! by not really shaking this market the way it should be but adopting the same approach as it competitors by selling us crap and calling it broadband, but yea atleast I can choose what crap I wanna buy so I guess like everything else in South Africa I should be grateful for what I've got.

Hey the lite is not a bad option, as said before, if you don't mind to wait, but think about it 156 kbps unlimited works out to 40 GB theoretically a month! At a fixed cost, no line rentals BS. Remember this is only the start, hopefully we'll see some counter offers!! let the war begin!

These packages do not bring me any joy. Neotel is just another Telkom. End of the story.

this sux

neotel phoned me, when i heard up to 2.4kbps, i thought what crap is this, where are the T1 and T3 speed lines, i told them my last speed test hit 2.7 so no thanks, come on telkom or neotel bring on the T1 and T3 lines, I will be your first customer, hurry up now:mad:
