No quicker way to destroy something then to get government involved, they should go for it.But DSTV made billions then.
O I see, they claim netflix will kill them = job losses = government intervention. Don't have to come with truth.. they can just lie, and government will protect them (and tax us netflix subscribers)
I do agree 100%. but it has been working for DSTV... (look at the monopoly on sport...)No quicker way to destroy something then to get government involved, they should go for it.
Those execs might have to move back to SA. The horror...!!!dstv is losing money to its competitors? oh no. better move everyone to dubai, pay them in dollars and give them increases.
That is the SA way - regulate everything until the wheels come off. Then regulate wheels so they can't move, and thus not come off.As much as I dislike DSTV and their insane pricing, I find it pretty rich that government want to regulate them and "open their network"
How about they get off their lazy asses and first open up Eskom's network to everyone, they cant even keep a single SOE turning a profit and now they want to mess with private industry.
DSTV doesnt need to be regulated, it will die a slow death regardless.
