The forecast is only 10 million sold from now to 2027 - and while it will be interesting to see if they achieve that, that’s only 4% of the current Netflix subscriber base..

Do you blame them for wanting to are least wait? Like most companies, they don’t even like Apple much & will need to jump through the hoops for not much return


Also :

I’m willing to bet that there will be quite a few average income Apple fans that will take the Vision and pay it off. Owning one doesn’t automatically mean wealth.

And wealthy people pay the same Netflix subs as non wealthy people.

I don't care if they don't like Apple lol. Apple is the far greater, larger, more responsible, more perfect and superior company. Its not even a comparison. So they should on that basis alone, want to support Apple products for their streaming platform. But yes i do accept they're in streaming competition with eachother. They're not doing themselves any favors though by supporting less technologies.

I don't know how many Apple fans will finance the Vision, that remains to be seen. I'm buying mine outright.
 
OMG the thing is not even out yet and you complaining about apps not developed for it.
Most companies would probably first see how the sales look and then decide if its worth it. And see what other have done that works great.
Wait till a company or two develop something amazing for the Vision pro's abilities and you would see how quickly the rest jump on the wagon.

I think the question should rather be how many AR/VR headsets have they built Apps for that aren’t Apple.

The user bases are tiny for all of them so that should draw a much more accurate picture of whether Netflix is specifically snubbing Apple.

But it’s really no different than Amazon not supporting Apple either and it makes sense not to help your competitors along. You do the bare minimum to keep your own users happy without handing them over to the other side.

Personally it makes no sense on the Amazon front as they make profits off retail, so why choose not to sell their devices, yet have apps for media consumption on all their devices.

Oh sod off. VisionOS is based on macOS. If there’s no macOS Netflix app why in the heck would there be a visionOS one???

So it's supposed to be that iPad apps can just run on it, but of the top 100 apps for the iPad store 2/3 opted out, the top 46 all specifically opted out of allowing their app to run on it.

It's support costs, not dev.
 
So is this thing out of production?
Did Netflix & YouTube ever create apps?
