Netflix Premium vs Showmax Pro compared

And Showmax still only delivers content with two channel audio afaik (at least the last time I checked). The 1980s want their audio streams back.
 
In my opinion, Showmax (Multichoice) have not changed anything to get back Netflix subscribers. If people left DSTV they either were not big sports fans or found another way of streaming it online.

Also I cannot understand how they can claim that the reason why DSTV is so expensive is because of the sports rights they have to purchase, however they then go and put international sports (which should cost more to show) onto the showmax pro before they even put local sport on (i.e rugby).

Multichoice pays much less for IPL broadcasting rights than Indian stations do. Multichoice pays a lot for PSL rights, while a German station pays next to nothing. German and European stations pay a lot for Bundesliga rights, while SABC pays very little. US stations pay a lot for NBA games, eTV pays very little. The market being sold into is important.
 
Should compare the apps and supported platforms. Last time I tried Showmax on Android TV it was very broken, expected touch input and unusable with a standard remote.
 
There is no direct comparison possible between the products in the heading, content or quality.

More people watch football than rugby it makes sense.
 
So the difference between Showmax and Showmax pro is just the sport, which is a R400 exta?
Good riddance for us well adjusted folk subsidizing those who just HAVE to watch the grown men chase the same ball week after week after week.
