Netflix testing account sharing feature - cheaply add extra users

DStv needs to take note. A proper solution to a problem!
DSTV stuck in that 90's mentality, where you need a SEPERATE decoder to watch their TV.
so a SEPERATE account for every person that wants to stream.

forgetting that the internet exists, where one can get literally any kind of entertainment at a moments notice.
and all for free with Zero adverts.

DSTV should aspire to be better than Netflix. Up till now they have not achieved this! I get the impression that they would rather milk another guy for more money than trying to improve their image and service. They must definitely learn to do more with less!! If they could grow their business with more than 10% per year, they would not need to increase their fees like what they do at the moment.

This sounds like an opt in service. I would rather be prudent, stay off Netflix's radar and save R50.

maybe they will want the details of everybody in your house,
or anybody that comes past your TV,

so they can send them a bill if they incidentally looked at the screen for 30 seconds.
Maybe charge family members 98% of the full price to add them.

2% saving will have the muh sports people go crazy. Maybe let them have a save 3% by locking them in for 5 years.

The nature of the internet is borderless, location independent and open. Netflix and them trying to limit password sharing is quite dumb, people pay for the amount of streams, they should be allowed to use them, however it's desired. I get them wanting to achieve the envisioned profits, but they should have seen this coming. Either way, I don't see them achieving what they want other than come up with a geolocked package that is cheaper vs a roaming package.

Very customer-centric and professional approach vs. knee-jerk approach from dstv.

This.

I'm paying for X streams simultaneously. Where people are when those streams are used is irrelevant.
