My 10mb adsl line is flying. Telkom <3

Yes, my 10mb ADSL is also flying at my studio but now that it is holiday I'm not going there so have to rely on whoosh.

@Cell-C. Just in case I don't get connected again to reply. Sort out Morgenster in Brackenfell. If there are too many users stop selling the dongle .

notice you all posted comments aroud the same time and are from the same area. I'm no genius but maybe the tower having problems...

Same problem here in Stellenbsoch area.
Yesterday and 2day are bad!
Hope Cell C sort this problem quickly

Experiencing erratic service in my area too - Malvern East/Wychwood. Fix plix!

Got lots of woosh here!

99% of your speed problems have to do with your connection to your tower. Get a Huawei router for around R2500 (I have this, works wonderfully) or get an antenna for your dongle. The dongles are crap and can say you got full signal but still have major issues.

For those without woosh, what happens when you vist speedtest.net?

We're in quiter varied areas ; can't be a single tower.

I can't even get to speedtest or anything of the sort. I see some of you say its simply slower - but mines dead :(

This is pathetic, I will and can not accept this behaviour from CellC, we are completely ignored on this forum and other mediums like Twitter. My theory is that CellC has snared in enough dummies like me who tested over 5mbps two weeks ago and now has throttled the network in certain areas big time, DAYLIGHT ROBBERY and somewhat fraudulent. I want my money back and I'm switching my 4 mbps DSL back on (sorry Telkom, you are evil but you're stable). F**** you Trevor. You just carry on watching CellC like a hawk, while the educated consumer will just sh*** on CellC like a church square pigeon. If this is how fast CellC's network degrades in a few weeks, I'd hate to see a speed test in 6 months time.

Full signal and using a Poynting Omni tried three devices

Before :D

After

I'm also in Morgenster(Brackenfell), data throughput is pathetic, and has been so for the last few days... before that, from around 20 Dec I kept getting auto-bumped down to EDGE! CellC I paid for HSPA+ connectivity, not EDGE... is this not a breach of my contract? 50% EDGE 50% HSPA+ ... come on Trevor!

I take it all the senior techs are off on leave, leaving some junior cowboy to try and figure out whats up... shame!

Let's hope this reply gets through...

Perhaps the Cell C representative is on holiday?

I'm sure by this time the Cell-C technicians should be aware of the problems. I just think that they don't bother at all.

This morning is the same as yesterday. Click on reply to this thread and it took about 40seconds just to load the page for me to start typing.

If you don't know how to fix the problem please ask around, I'm sure there are lots of people out there that can help you.

I'm not going to spend any money, especially not R2500 on any antennas, routers or whatever to be able to use my Cell-C modem. You don't buy a car and push it around and when you want more speed you have to buy a enjin.

If that is the case then Cell-C should advertise is like that.

I'm also in Morgenster Brackenfell and I've gone from 6Mbps to 250kbps!!! I cant even RUN speedtest, the latency test times out. If I ping 137.215.101.101 I get lost packets (50-75%). Cell C tech support sez that there's no problem their side and it must be my new account. I am FURIOUS!!!!

My connection is just as bad as what it was yesterday.

I have a high gain antenna connected to the modem and signal strength of -67dBm so my connection to the tower is not the problem.

I sent a suggestion on TellTrevor.co.za... and something seems to have happened... Morgenster/Cape Gate speed is back up and great...

To whoever did something over at CellC... a big thank you!

Speedtest results don't look great, but my browsing speed is 100% better!
