Hi,

I just got a new N+N300 Belkin PlayMax router to connect my pc and ps3 via wireless to each other and the internet. Got the router set up and both my pc and ps3 connected to the internet via the wireless.

1st problem is I can't get the pc and the ps3 to connect, and the point where my pc is supposed to see the ps3 as an unkown device there is just nothing.

2nd problem is the wireless internet connection to my pc keeps dropping while I'm playing online games even though Im no more than 2m away from the router at the moment.

3rd problem is I can't manage to connect the pc to the router via normal network cable. The local area connection just says unidentified network.(Tried this to solve the whole disconnecting issue)

Any advice would be much aprreciated.

Seems you're running Windows 7.

Set the PC with a static IP on the lan adaptor matching your existing IP range and subnet details. Turn off your windows Firewall too.
Windows 7 says 'Unidentified Network' occasionaly - setting manual IP usually fixes that. Also - disable the lan adaptor - then re-enable - also works.

Above should fix 1 + 3.

Re the wifi dropping - that could be a fault with the actually router. If you fix 1+3 then problem 2 might come right also as it could be (not likely but you never know) affected by 1+3.

Peace.
