Never thought I'd find myself saying this...

I've heard that you can attract all sorts of strange women with an S2000. Don't know if that's a pro or a con for you - I'm just saying.

No BMWs under any circumstance - while I might be selfish, rude and thoughtless, I don't need my car to scream it for me. The Audi A5 is an interesting option, possibly...

xrapidx has one too (an S2000 that is) and I recall his stories about trannies - it's one of the reasons for it not topping the list...:D

Besides, I'd be worried about prostitutes wanting to nail me from behind if I got one...:D

I think the wheels add to the appeal. Take 'em off and it's still the same idea as the S40/60.
 
test drive both cars, the Volvo and SLK55 ... with the 55 merc don't worry too much about year model but rather mileage ... most SLK55 owners are very meticulous and you will find a good few of them with very very low mileage ... (most of these owners have a ferrari or two in their garage)

Not bothered by the resale value that much. I think the 2 door convertible bit makes it look a bucket load better. It's not altogether a performance car though which is my one real issue with it...

I took the Volvo for a test drive on the weekend - loved it, but it lacked oomph in a big way. It's long on acceleration but without much grunt. The SLK55 is just out of my price-range - it would have to be the SLK350 if anything. See, then I might as well take up the hairdressing...:D

+1 BMW is just not there.

Why not get a Audi R8 :p
