While i agree that Volvo's are looking better than they use to. They also perform quite well but truth be told i still wouldn't buy one. Probably based on on the stigma attached to Volvo's being old fashioned geriatric cars. I've also heard services are quite pricey.

The lowest A5 has the new GTi engine... not sure what the price is, but if its R400k why not consider it?

I am no fan of convertibles nor of Volvo's. But this is a rare car and we seriously need more individuals on the road - to many copy cats all buying the same boring brand.

Was gonna say the new Jaguar XK convertible is definitely something you must look at, but then I checked their website for the price.........would give my left nut to drive it! ;-)
If I could get that amount of money for just my left nut, I'd be completely infertile...

the base model A5 conv costs 42 thousand euros... which is sort of your budget, isnt it ? and if you wait for a few months, you can get a demo model for less
