Neverwinter - Anyone playing?

Dammit. There is just too much out there.
Rift has also become free to play.
 
I gave it a try but didn't enjoy the combat, felt very clunky compared to games like TERA. It did have a good story and nice varied characters though.
 
Finished downloading and fired it up for a quick look. Seems pretty decent, and I like the combat so far (with the thief anyway)

Know what I'm doing tomorrow night when the wife is out :)
 
I like it. A lot. I just haven't played since the beta as I don't have the time to spend on an MMO at the moment.

I love the combat, find it better than GW2's combat seeing. Also love the questing system and the Foundry. The F2P model it uses is also very generous and I haven't felt the need to spend a dime on the store other than to buy extra character slots.

For an MMO, it's remarkably good.
 
Prefer Rift but in all honesty they both good value for the money you play :D

Neverwinter is a bit more chaotic at the start if you ask me, but once you get the hang of it should be fine.

Sidenote: Thanks to steam sales its gonna be a while before I get back to either.
 
I tried Rift, but the questing system bored me to tears. It's exactly like WoW. Just a bunch of tedious fetch and kill quests.

It's a pity, because the rest of Rift seemed like a pretty alright game.
 
Checked Neverwinter out the other day when a friend suggested it, and told me that it has the utility that allows you to create your own scenarios (which he did).

Looks awesome, loving the DND and the Forgotten Realms setting. Would love Planescape more though.

Really?
Thats weird, I battle to play other mmo's(tried neverwinter,rift and even tried going back to wow) but the combat is terrible compared to gw2 for me.

I absolutely *hated* rift. Its like a badly developed clone of wow.

Maybe we can start a MyBB guild?

I am taking my time with Neverwinter. Only level 24 odd now with a cleric. Really fun.
 
On what server are you? I'm actually looking for an SA guild - getting tired of randoms who bail just before the boss on a dungeon. There are a few players on mygaming - I've registered there to do guild hunting. I've also met two Saffers ingame (I'm on Dragon).

BTW - TR here, GS of about 9.4k. So if you're looking for ppl to do dungeons or PvP with, add me: @rooiwyn.

Edit. Maybe start a SA guild if there isn't already one?

Totally trounced a couple of Level 60's last night with my level 36 thief during the orc assault event. lol. But got crappy rewards
