My sources tel me they are opening in Cavendish and Sandton. Edit, and one in Midrand.
Looks like they want to corner the market on selling direct and thus screw over the resellers.

That is so typical of them, and on top of that their service is something left to be desired.

Well they've been doing it to their customers for years. Time they knew what it was like.;)

Well more iStores is a good thing for consumers. My nearest iStore is in the V&A Waterfront which is a 30min drive. Canal Walk opened up a mini-iStore
but it's useless and is just a demo showcase for the iPhone and iMac.
Incredible sells some Macs but they have a tiny selection and now software.

Pro apps for the Mac don't seem to be sold in iStores anymore.
I know its cheaper buying direct from Toolfarm, as their prices are cheaper,
their customer support is friendly and selection is 100% but sometimes you'd like to buy something and now wait a week to get it.

Ah yay, three more places for Core to rip off loyal South African's at!

Doubt they'l open up in Sandton, Cool Apple Buddy is already there undercutting their prices ;)

yeah and u cant blame them, although i have heard many complaints about CAB as well...

as for core and their za/istores....its BS. How can they expect their resellers to survive if they sell direct to the public? it should have been stopped when they first started it...

I rather have a full-stocked iTune Store, instead of an i-stole-your-money store

LOL!

... Core have been threatening to open an iStore at Sandton for years... and I suspect thats where the trouble between CAB and Core started.

Maybe that's the big change we heard rumors about.

I thought the V&A one was a mini store - last time I strolled in there they didn't have much stock of anything and the employees also didn't know too much about anything.

It's bigger, but the staff there seem to know less. I thought the stock was a bit miserable. The older shop was more intimate.
