[-]So I have a new Dell Inspiron 15 laptop and the FN keys are a bit weird. If I, as an example, want to increase the volume I can just hit the F3 button, but if I want to use F5 to refresh my browser I have to hold FN and press F5.

want to switch this around so that I don't have to hold FN to use the F-buttons. I'm sure it's a relatively simple fix, but I can't seem to find a solution on Google. Does anyone perhaps know how to fix this?[/-]

Nevermind, the button was on the keyboard itself. I'm just being a moron. I kept digging around the control panel instead of looking at what was right in front of me.

Some Dell laptops have that function built into a software utility.

Same laptop same problem, just pin Windows Mobility to the task bar and then you can control how the Fn key works.Untitled.jpg
