so is this a single view hd pvr??
Looks like it, one tuner for viewing, and one for recording. Exactly what I want, and it looks sexy too
Someone has heard my wishes.
Now, what is the price, and when can I get it !
Oh, and what is the RF quality like ?
See they say "...... the DSR4828 offers additional capacity through external hard-disk drive support". - Wonder if this will actually work? (Just like USB on SD PVR is still not working?)
Further they say "A full interconnectivity suite supports various home-theatre options and network devices". - What do you think this will mean?
Well it's difficult to say. Theoretically, installing it yourself is fairly simple. All you need to do is ensure that the rotation is correct.Do you have any idea what this costs? I assume I need an installer to do this...
What do you need to change to do this? I still have the old (non PVR) decoder. Will getting the HD decoder be enough or do you need to do something with the dish, etc.
MIH have mentioned this before, it will not be a PVR ....
I wonder what you can do with the ethernet port? Use the decoder as a media player?
What do you mean, according to the specs it has a built-in 500GB 3.5" hard disk ?
Seems to be the case. No price or rollout schedule as yet.
I'm still waiting on confirmation as to whether it's going to be the UEC one in the link or a separate Pace model.
