New Electrical plugs for SA

I've fallen in love with the EU schuko plug:

It looks good, it's fits securely, it's safe, it doesn't matter which 'direction' you put it in and it (obviously) works :p

It's keyed though so you can put it in the wrong way.

My apologies then, I linked the article and quoted it as I have seen been done here before. I suppose they feel they might be loosing out on the advertising revenue stream that the link may have provided....quoting would have bypassed that perhaps.

Yeah, I imagine that was the problem. However, sure you could have kept the link to their site and article (i.e. let everybody in MyBB go and click on their ads).

Mod edit:

Techcentral content removed following a request from Duncan McLeod from Techcentral.

Don't post the entire article (not sure if you did) rather just post a few lines as a blurb

Most AC stuff should be agnostic as to which way it's plugged in as I understand it? Only difficulty is in-line switches, which only switch off one of the wires.

No I was saying you did it as I would have, you linked your source so not sure why they complained. Even some of the Mods post articles like you did...

EDIT : Ah ok might be because the whole article was copied... noted will remember for future..

*shrug* The link got a click out of me. Guess they don't want the ad revenue :erm:

Touchy touchy.

But then again a lot of mybb articles are plagiarised in some way.

IOL does the same. I sometimes read an article on an overseas site and a few hours later, a similar article appears on IOL with over 90% the same content.

Many news articles are syndicated, in other words they are distributed to a large number of publications. Or they are press releases. Always a good idea to look at the author/source when reading the article.

This one for example will appear in most publications: http://mybroadband.co.za/news/government/95385-new-sa-smart-id-card-applications-open-soon.html

I read all these posts.

This is, quite frankly BULLS***!!!!

This ANC government is trying to rape us financially every which way it can, without a cooking clue about what it is about.

That plug and socket is crap... it cannot handle the current of some appliances used in SA.

Also it looks fairly easy to unplug itself with a small amount of force.
