Not sure which is uglier, the old Everest or this one...
Lol serious?
The old Everest looked like some reject GWM clone; esp from the rear.
This new one is on another level but yeah that price man...Wowzer.

I read the article.
This price is for the Limited edition.
20"rims and some other bells and whistles.
I'm guessing starting price for the entry level model to be around R480k. This would make it competitive

Yeah Tuna touching R550k; granted its the old one.
Everest is priced exceptionally high....
Yeah, even assuming a jump in price to the new one of say 10%..
It won't be just 10%...
They may hurt sales a bit too much if they go much beyond that though, at least in my opinion..
They will probably even have to push up the current model by 10% (or more) soon, just because of the exchange rate...
Whats the price of a top of the range Fortuner?
Will have to compete with that I think.

Follow the thread; I pasted a screenshot.
R550k
New model out next year will be priced higher and given how mark it looks the Ford is going to be the one to watch.
I estimate the 'All New' Fortuner to be anything between R600000-R650000. Seeing that it is on sale in Thailand, only the diesel versions are on sale and the petrol versions are coming later.

The top spec model,
2.8V 4WD AT Price 1,599,000 Baht (+/- R 600000)
the entry spec model,
2.4G 2WD MT Price 1,199,000 Baht (+/- R 450000)
it will be built/assembled in Durban... maybe plus 5-10% on the Thailand price?
