I was just going to ask why ford have the figo and fiesta. They seem very similar size/spec/price wise?

Historically their are a numberdifferences.

The 1st Gen Figo was a cobbled together slightly update of the f/lift previous gen Fiesta. It was made in India.

It had lower spec engines; less tech; more inferior build quality & consequently cheaper.

With Gen 2 Figo they have brought it close in line to the Fiesta but there are still differences ito of engine options & prices.

No doubt the all-new Fiesta will take a much greater step forward & one can then see noticeable differences wrt to Gen 2 Figo.
 
@fiesta, I just saw a new Figo in the flesh for the first time. Not a bad looking piece of tin.

Take a look at any vehicle price now days. An entry level Yaris is nearly that price.
My salary is not keeping up so no new vehicles for me in the near future.

Yo yo....I concur....steep pricing on high level models aside. But seems at least 1.5 Generations better than old shape.

The arse (ass) of the sedan does not look to appealing though.
 
These don't sell very well do they? Saw my first on in traffic today and it looks very good. Why don't wee see more of them?

Because local car sales are down and people are hanging onto their vehicles longer?
 
I have not seen many as well pals. Sedan even less so. The Ford compact sedans always look so crappy from the butt.

- Fiesta sedan
- Figo sedan

Could be worse I suppose...*cough* Brio sedan

Swift sedan does not like half bad.
 
What I do like about the new Figo is that it's not just an old car being sold as new, like the Aveo/Vivo/Spark Lite and so on.

Too expensive now. Old FIGO had bang for buck going for it..........

AND, new car market depressed

AND, many dealers have old FIGO stock left / DEMO stock left
