New iBurst Group CEO announced

Yeah, congratulations. I doubt that iBurst will improve but it won't be the new CEO's fault though. Enjoy the new job! :)

I think Dial a Nerd needs Mac support added, got the perfect candidate for it too ... Me :D

Having said that, a few things are patently obvious; iBurst will be much more active on this forum and will solicit and provide feedback in the open and frank format I prefer. Shaun (Green) is already well known here, so I'll leave it up to him to crank it up a few notches. I, for sure, will be lurking.

Also, start posting the suggestions in the relevant forum. You guys have much more experience with the products I have and you feedback will be appreciated. Let's also hear those innovative ideas.

Clearly, it will take some time to implement some of the suggestions, but it will happen.

Congratulations Jannie on your new appointment. It is nice to see that members of the BB are getting even more recognition for their expertise and I can only hope that you can bring many positive changes to an organization that in the recent past has left a lot to be desired in terms of service and product.

I think if you trawl the iBurst forums you will find many ideas already listed ;)

Having been a long-time iBurst subscriber (due mainly to lack of choice), I look forward to finally dealing with a company who puts the main component first - the client.

Congratulations again and rest assured, we will help where we can :)

I doubt that iBurst will improve ........ :)

We wait with bated breath in the hope that you are wrong ;)

My first non-v3g post!

Firstly, thank you all for the support posted above! It's not a flippant statement to say I'm touched by the encouraging messages from you bunch. :) (And I know how tough you guys can be!)

We all know there are some challenges ahead, but obviously I believe there is a bright future ahead.

As I've posted in the VC forum, I'm traveling at the moment (typing this in an airport, 1am), so will give a more complete response on all the points raised above when I'm back next week.

I don't know what to say other than all the best - if anyone can turn WBS into a responsible corporate citizen, it is yourself :).

I think you already know that I recommend sacking the narcoleptic incompetents that inhabit WBS' accounts department, the marketing and products people, and most of management there, and getting rid of iBurst altogether and replacing it with WiMax...

Don't be a stranger ;).

Jannie van zyl, i'm currently not an Iburst customer but will consider becoming one if you can better the offer Neotel (the unlimited offers for both lite and prime) is having. I am sure your company will win over more customers if you can provide something where there is no caps and 3G speeds. :)

He'll change his nic to iBurst3G.

The big question is, how much is his package .....and bonuses?:)

How is that the big question?

Would it not rather be, "What changes will he make for the better ?" or "What is the next vehicle purchase going to be?" :p

A CEO who with a MyBB presence and very active and responsive too, that is humbling to say.
Where did he find the time ? Well done Jannie we will monitor your new move and changes to iBurst.
Pity Telkom CEO Mr October does not have show his face on MyBB , sorry its Mr September wrong month as
Telkom CEO.

I should not talk with a surname of miles and a nic of kilos

Congratulations man, I am very happy for you. I am sure you will turn iBurst around for many of us.

Take care and don't become a stranger!

:o I only saw this article and thread just now.

Congrats Jannie:). I'm sure you will do an excellent job for iBurst, as you have done for Vodacom:).

Not sure if this has been answered already: who will be taking over as Vodacom rep on here, and under what nic?
