New ipad and tethering

I don't know about cellc but tethering doesn't work on 8ta at this time.

But wouldn't it be beneficial to tackle the problem from both sides? It really doesn't take long to supply apple with feedback via http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and the more people that do so the more likely they'd attend to the issue presumably.

You're not dealing with Apple? :confused: The manufacturer of your device and presumably the ones who advertised this feature you are missing?

Please read post 22. As you can see i have done that already. From the nomber of people looking at this tread i take it i am not the only one that wants it fixed. Surely it is not that difficult to solve. But we would not know as we do not get any feedback from vodacom.....

I take it have never phoned there support centre..... They do not even know what tethering is.
I pm the rep with no reply.

It's an Apple problem not a Vodacom one. Vodacom have to wait for Apple to push out the new carrier bundles.

...Using Vodacom that APN would be "iphone.vodacom.za" . However , this does not work for the New iPad. The reason it's not functioning is actually not a fault by Vodacom, Apple is restricting the iphone.vodacom.za APN and Vodacom needs Apple's blessing in order for their subscribers to use Personal Hotspot on the New iPad regardless if the feature works on the iPhone. Vodacom is currently in negotiations with Apple on a high level to bring Personal Hotspot to the New iPad on Vodacom and from what I heard from it's going well , we should see the feature enabled on New iPads on Vodacom later on , they couldn't give me an ETA on when this will happen.

Apple will only do it when Vodacom get off their asses and tell them what services they will allow on their network
