I am looking at getting a new laptop for around R13k

Anyone get reccomendations for me ?

don't suppose you'd consider splurging 16k on a macbook? There's no better lappy for my money.

I think you need to specify what is important to you - processor, gaming, storage, business, build quality etc.
 
If you have R11000 more, there's a really nice Sony Viao with blu ray drive at Incredible Corruption. :)

That would have been my first choice, if I had R24000 to spend on a laptop.
 
It all depends what you want it for? That budget will get you something REALLY nice.
 
so many options with 13k - how about something like a sony vaio with 4gb memory, blu ray dvd, intel 2.4, bluetooth, up to 1750mb shared vga, 16.4" screen - this shouldl only set you back about 13.5k, not too shabby

Um....you're describing the Sony Viao without the blu ray drive and full HD display.

That you can pick up for R13500. ;)

unibody is MUCH better than the white. But that's a great price...for once IC comes out on tops. Ok that's my recommendation then.
