New LTE AUP from September 2016

This morning the Telkom Mobile debit order was deducted from my account. R1384.84 (not R799 as I was expecting...). What gives?

Just emailed the rep who assisted with my sign up to hear what's going on (I am also still waiting for them to come and install my external antenna), but in the mean time, is there anything here I'm missing as to why the amount is not R799?

You didn't pay the 1st month and they bill you for 1 full month + pro-rata for the month you got it.

No one has disputed the torrenting cap/throttle.

We bought product to stream and not to torrent.

Deal is still 100% as promised. They alluded right from the beginning, that torrents and NNTP would be heavily controlled. Good on them!

So why new AUP or emails. Its not torrenting that they talking about. Multi sessions in new AUP refer to more than one streaming imho.

They worded their email and sms very vaguely. I can guarantee that they will never throttle streaming and browsing - that would go directly against their marketing material for this product and we would all have a case to cancel.

We all now what part of our usage is legit and we all know how to McGyver usage with seedboxes and VPN etc etc. If you tow the line, I really don't think you have anything to worry about. I am not concerned at all and I have 3x these deals - 2 in homes and 1 at my office.

My usage is high 400 - 600 but all legit streaming. I stream radio and google music so no need for torrenting. I use it to simply download the odd item for kids or friends. So no argument ito torrenting. I in case have a 150gb vox promo account I can use.

They will have the stats - how can they penalise you for using the solution as it was sold to you?

In my case - our office one does sub 100GB per month. One at my dad's house doesn't even break 15GB. The 3rd at my boet's house is doing about 30-40GB per month.

So yours is pulling high usage, but my 3 are low - so my 3 more than cancel out your high one....

HD is about 3GB per hour from Netflix. 3GB x 8hrs per day = 24GB x 31 days = 744GB.

Your usage is quite possible for HD streaming

That's just Netflix... I see my Xbox One alone does 300GB or more a month.

New AUP kicked in and by the looks of it p2p and nntp is permanently capped @ 4Mbps for 50Gb then 128k after that.....

Just check my account out on telkom and i dont have that 4Mb AUP..
