New LTE AUP from September 2016

So here are my usage

Hello!You have used 347685 MB of your inclusive SmartBroadband Uncapped Wireless service.

Hello!You have used 769 MB of your P2P FUP bundle

No idea how to get July, I suppose these are August figures, now is 350gb excessive? I also only run downloads from seedbox (have Netflix but hate the fact that I must adhere to SA content while paying full price) after 12am and hardly stream during their evening peak but maybe gaming.

Will have to see.

What about a comment on the topic at hand - the AUP? Can we be given clarity on what specifically is deemed "excessively high"? As you can see from the comments in this thread, usage between users is all over the place with some getting the underhanded warning and others not despite consuming far more data (NOT P2P - if I have 1 more Telkom rep repeat the P2P FUP to me...)
 
I use in excess of 500gb per month, probably used about 100gb for p2p but then again I am throttled in the evenings and only find my torrents downloaded when I get home from work. So this throttling is nothing new to me.

Still get to enjoy full streaming during the evenings.

Issue is not p2p, its streaming. They want you to stream only one youtube or one netflix stream as they thought all tech geeks stay alone

Get a separate LTE contract for each member of your family, that way Telkom won't complain :)

The problem is with speeds above 20Mbps you can get two or three family members streaming / Youtube and then the monthly usage adds up pretty quickly. It's easier for those staying alone.

Thats what Telkom is hoping for. Morons cant even manage a 150 user limit on a tower. Imagine managing a tower w.o. a cap on users.

Planning is clearly lacking.

Huh literal would mean they will never throttle or cap except for torrenting.
 
In a short time, it will be September.... New AUP..

Lets see what happens.. If i watch the complete season stranger things in 4K.. that would be over 100GB.. See if the AUP also includes streaming
 
Sent a blank SMS to 188 few minutes ago, got this reply: Hello!You have 10240 MB of full speed Wi-Fi access remaining for this month. Usage only shows 1,2gb used. What the hell? Is this really what the new AUP implies? So you get 12gb for the month?

Edit: might have been tiredness kicking in. The 10gb relates to the wifi access. Got the mail of abuse last night and thought this might be related. Only do streaming and game downloads with minimal NNTP downloads after 12.

I dop think that the AUP will be around 100GB due to the p2p limit being 50GB, thats just my guess but now that the month has started we will see. Although yeah your sleep got you there.
 
New AUP kicked in and by the looks of it p2p and nntp is permanently capped @ 4Mbps for 50Gb then 128k after that.....

Yip the new aup seems to concentrate on torrents/p2p/nntp specifically. Which is not too bad. The rules does state 50gig
 
No one has disputed the torrenting cap/throttle.

We bought product to stream and not to torrent.
