Jacqui's tweet:

...FUP up to 300GB, an extra 50GB @ for peer-to-peer. Once exceeded, extra 50GB @ 4Mbps & then, 2Mbps for rest of month.

I like the compromise they've made. But more than that, I like that they've clearly communicated what the restrictions are. I can deal with this.

JoS's tweet - she says "an extra 50GB for P2P"

The caps were never allocated independently. They added to your total when last I checked so to clarify it then it would be 300gb with a allotment maximum for 100gb against p2p at maximum speed.

Browser cap includes the FUP allotment from what I understood. Please correct me if this is not the case though

Source for this?

Cause then I need to add my NZB Server again with a priority not over SSL so it could use up that cap 1st

I have also noticed that when doing P2P, the amount used on my "unlimited" balance does not increase. Only the P2P balance increases.
So it makes sense that they are viewed as 2 separate caps

Ok wow. Didn't know this. I was always under the impression that they are combined into the total regardless of FUP.
Will test tonight

Ok guys just got off the phone with a tech guy that jacqui asked to call me.
The FUP now is as follows:

0-300GB - Unthrottled
300-350GB - 4Mbps
350+GB - 2Mbps

It does no longer throttle below 2Mbps

I also asked him about the 50GB P2P and he said the 50GB p2p does NOT count toward the 300GB cap and is still 50GB with the 128 throttling between 16:00 and 00:00.

I also asked him if they plan to expand the limit and he stated that they definitely will look into upping the limit once they have purged all the abusers from the system.

Hope this clarifies the new FUP for you guys.

I won't. From a personal perspective i'm actually happier the threshold is not a lot more because it means this FUP might last. I want predictability going forward. I'd hate for this issue to spring up every six months because people are complaining about slow speeds. With that being said i certainly feel for those are need a lot more data.

Meh... Even if I force my News server to port 80 and turn SSL off it still don't use the FUP cap :(

Yep I need 600Gb but will see how limiting LTE to netflix does ito data usage.

Telkom can call this an LTE streaming service but with a 300gb limit I will strongly disagree.
It is nothing more than a shafting service. This new FUP/AUP is classical Telkom The Shafter.
