If I just take the BS that you and others push about the latest iOS on 5 year old models? It’s true, but not true at the same time.

iOS17 differs model to model. iPhone 13 Pro is a maximum of 2 years old and it can’t limit charging, it can’t get battery stats, standby is a joke on phones without Always On … and even Always On doesn’t make it because of battery issues. But Standby doesn’t work even though it’s charged? Every model receives different features and it’s not all hardware.

The same as TVoS - each generation is different. Apple TV 4K 1st gen can’t FaceTime … 2nd gen can’t HDR10+ … 3rd gen does everything.

Can you tell me what features will be left off iOS 18 or TvOS 18? Truth is no one knows what features they’ll lack that’ll make your 1 year phone ‘old’

Same as Android and Windows... My Lollipop phone never got Google assistant baked into the launcher and it got the assistant a year late as well. My Windows XP box updated to Vista never got Aero. My Android TV stick didn't get the Google TV interface. My Huawei GT2e watch never got third party app support since it didn't launch outside of China. My Acer Travelmate of 2008 never could run Windows 64 bit even though the processor supported it. My work Dell laptop can't run Android apps even though it's on Windows 11. My Google Home Minis don't support Apple Music since it's a US only feature.

My Pro has 16 GB of RAM.
With just 4 tabs of Chrome open and 4 tabs of TradingView open, RAM usage is 9 GB.

Does this mean a 13" M2 Air with 8GB will not be able to handle this? I also plan to have Word and Excel open so this will add to the memory usage.

No, that’s just how Linux works.
