Sounds about right after Nklandla tax...Between R825K-R1.2mil I recon.
Its a Ford...:erm:
South Africa from the eighties called, said to get you to check your calendar 'cos it's twenty five years on. Ford make some great cars, deal with it. Oh, and that Mustang is smokin'.
I have a issue with Ford, thats why im so sour when topics come up of Ford.
Ok.. to do the rough maths....
Base price for the US is $22200.
Multiply that by 12 (slightly over the current exchange rate) gets you to R266400.
Add 75% import duty (give or take) gets you to R466200.
Add 15% for shipping and handling, R536130.
Add 14% VAT, R611188.20.
Add another 15% for "sundries" and profit margins for the dealership, R702866.43
I will be surprised if the vehicle is any less than R700k for the base model.
Because that is a BMW!!! Reserved for pretentious pr!cks.
The 15% sundries and profit margin is already included in the US $22200 price. So no need to add it again.
The 435i costs over R700k and puts out only 225kw with its V6. The Mustang's V6 will put out similar kw's but will be cheaper. The V8 will be much more powerful.
Are you saying
Lol wait...
You saying the mustang is faster than the BMW?
Even a 435 will turn this thing into a donkey!
