Oh see. Didn't know it worked like that.
 
Hate the new design - the floating banner is no more, as well as a lot of the other wasted space.
 
Fixed the new design with a custom CSS file userContent.css in Firefox

For future reference:

Trying to load pictures brings up blank screen with a teeny tiny X at the top. Hovering over the X shows a message "you are trying to load an unsecure site", I had to allow "unsecure site" to load. Then I could upload pics.

I'm a bit embarrassed but in my defense most myBB visits are on a phone or tablet and that X is very very small.

Very peeved :(

I had full permissions but couldn't post pictures from mobile devices, only from my PC. So i took a few screen shots and came here to post them from my PC only to find:

Posting Permissions:
You may not post new threads
You may post replies
You may not post attachments
You may edit your posts

I wonder what's changed?

Haven't you had this problem for over a few weeks now?
Maybe I'm mistaken and it's someone else.
Just feels like if seen this same post quite a few times from you already.

Yes, saor it's me - since the new design :(

Appears to be worse now than it was because whereas I always had permissions but a bug (?) prevented me from posting pics except from a PC, now I don't have permissions on some threads.

Specific permissions are defined for each of the various forums.

In which forum were you attempting to post a new thread with an attachment?

Not a new thread, just a post.

Using a PC because i found that minute (almost invisible) red X top right saying mybb is not a secure site. Clicked the red X and allowed non secure site.

Wanted to upload screen grabs of errors I get when trying to upload from mobile devices. Tried this thread and also

The other thread you linked to is in the same forum as this thread.

Your permissions are unlikely to have changed since the permissions in question are specific to the Announcements forum and they have not changed recently AKAIK, I suspect the permissions are set like this as an anti-spam measure and have nothing to do with the "New MyBroadband Design".

Only mods and admins can post images in threads in this section of the forum. AFAIK that hasn't changed.

Dear RPM/Mods

Since yesterday the site prompts a mobile user to download the mobile app.

That's all well and fine - if you're using an Android or iOS device.

But for those of us who use a modern and advanced mobile OS (ie Windows 10 Mobile) that prompt is pointless. Yet it comes up every time we log in on a mobe, requiring the extra work of having to dismiss the pop-up window.

Is there a way you can add some intelligence to the script generating the prompt, such that those to whom it doesn't apply don't get it?

Or, even better, release an app for Windows. If you did a Windows app using UWP you can be sure it'll work on all systems running Windows 10, ie desktops, mobile, HoloLens and Xbox.

How much money do you estimate it would cost to develop an MBB app for Windows 10 Mobile and how many forumites other than yourself would ever use it?

Have you tried looking for User Agent string changer for Windows 10 Mobile that would allow you to circumvent the app download prompt?

R100. You don't need to develop specifically for Win 10 Mobile. Just Win UWP, which works on all Win 10 systems.

It wouldn't be confined to mobile users. My guess is that at least half of MyBB users have Windows 10 on their desktops, laptops, and ultrabooks.
