New TopTV channels planned

Now that is effective marketing for you!

You don't create a new bundle and increase prices to make more money. You give more value to existing customers. Which in turn draws more customers. Which in turn generates much more revenue and gains you more market share and security.

Hope the twits at some other renowned (renowned for their loser FAIL status!) SA companies can learn something. You idiots! You are just a bunch of num nums!

Good on TopTV and can't wait to see what comes of this :)

Anybody know if the odds of the US version of SyFy is possible? Or are we limited to the UK version only?
Basically what I'm asking is, is this like Fox where ONLY the US can get the official Fox channel while everybody else in the world gets some slapdash rendition?

TopTV: New channels planned

TopTV is currently negotiating additional channels which may be passed on free of charge to subscribers

And I heard they planned to add 15 channels within six months of launch. That would put the timeline at end-October. An extra 15 channels at no extra cost is quite good. Hopefully it's 2 to 5 premium-ish channels and additional Discovery Channels - then I'D DEFINITELY SIGN UP! TopTV certainly is listening to the public.

Have TopTv sorted out there issues viewers were having? Any news on a pvr type system from Toptv?
Looking for existing users feedback before switching over...

I hope you guys here can at least try email TopTV regarding the space channel. They did express interest in knowing what channels we are looking for:

toptalk at toptv.co.za
info at ondigitalmedia.co.za
mconnor at toptv.co.za
bbanks at toptv.co.za

"Negotiating additional channels" should not be news. It is what is expected from a pay tv company. It will be news when the channels are actually announced.

They need to keep their name in the papers, so this will do, stop bashing them. Same thing DSTV and other companies like Telkom do. Free advertising is free advertising. Make an announcement about and announcement

Has anyone here actually dealt with TopTV ??

I bought a decoder and waited 1 1/2 months for the installation. Then I waited another 3 weeks to get it activated. (WTF) Agents were past clueless !!!

Phone calls, emails and SMS's never got answered. Whereby I actually sourced the installer myself.

The channels SUCTED BIG TIME.

Once again I phoned to have the service placed on hold. Most interesting, they REFUSED this option ....

Made a payment of +/- R 16.00 into their account and returned the equipment to Pick 'n Pay.

Sorry, I'll rather stay with DSTV's compact package !

BEE isn't doing this country any good ...

(Pondering to downgrade to DSTV's Select option)

Soz Stormy, can't agree with you, had it since May 3rd ( :D ) and have appreciated it since. Wife is happy top explore and fine living, I love the discovery science , karang and a few others and enjoy the odd movie.

Happy with my R249/month to give them more of a chance to get better. Sweet on more channels, Space would be great, Syfy awesome. Some sport would be nice too, maybe espn or something.
