Bit late on the response, if you're constantly being added and removing yourself only to be re-added to an unwanted Whatsapp Group - block all of the group admins

Quite a bit of admin work (especially since if a new group admin is created, he/she can add you until you block them as well), but it does work

For all you WhatsApp caller fan boys out there:

Not everyone has got good internet connection. I can't even get 3G, still on EDGE. Voice quality is bad unless you have good connection, even on 3G.

AND the person who receives the call PAYS FOR BANDWIDTH TOO!!! Why must I pay for you to call me.

So if you have bad connectivity voice call will be bad? Why is this specific to WhatsApp?

Everyone I've introduced Telegram to has gone crazy over the stickers. Think of how ever-present emoticons are these days - stickers are the same thing but way better. WhatsApp is apparently testing stickers atm. I wonder if they'll be free like with Telegram.

You can have a crystal-clear GSM voice call while you data connection is terrible.

Dude, not everyone live in the big cities where access to good internet connectivity exists. As you start moving away from big cities, there is a dramatic drop off in the quality of connectivity, yet GSM is available almost everywhere. 3G only covers a small area of SA. Rural towers are overloaded. Signal is patchy. Most other forms of internet connectivity are very limited or very expensive.

jaaa. Until such time that Telegram launches it. Else if I have to phone a land line I use Greydot app. Cheap cheap.

This follows the recent addition of letting users leave a voice message if a WhatsApp call goes unanswered – like voicemail – and missed calls showing up in chats.

Being a whole 4 lines down I suppose it's easy to miss .

I was surprised. I got a call from a friend travelling through the UK this morning and we chatted for a good twenty minutes as if a perfectly normal conversation.

Extra amusing is that it was better than any Vodacom call in my house where getting signal is always an impossible Yoga move away.
