Nice improvement

Krugersdorp (a.k.a. Kenmare BS I believe) is a good BS, but annoying for me. Thanks to that thing I had to install a damn antenna.
 
And what is your speeds with the antenna (and which antenna is it)?

I took the standard piece of junk WBS patch antenna and modified it to make it directional, the antenna is mounted indoors pointed towards Roodekrans BS which is 600m away. I get 800 ~ 900 kbit/sec on average, it goes to full rated speed late at night, the speed test on iBurst's website gives a full reading. On internetfrog, the speed is about 100kbit/s slower (presumably due to overseas link latency).

When Roodekrans goes down, I am totally snookered as the external antenna then needs to be unplugged (signal dies almost completely) and I need to use the modem's own antenna. Not so easy to do when modem is mounted neatly inside a rack cabinet.

I could kind of understand the German, and the French had some obvious parts..

Good with French, but the Arabic and Russian is all Google.

The only time I went to a translation site was for the arabic and french, anyway since this thread was hijacked I just thought I'd add my bit. :p

The German part's understandable, but where did you learn Russian?

In any case, ja, completely hijacked I have no idea what its meant to be about anymore. Hmm from a glance it appears to be some rubbish about a Nice Improvement.. no idea what thats about anyway :/
 
Since the thread has gone completely off topic, why don't we insist to make it the official hijacked iBurst thread? :p

Thread hijacking aside, I also noticed much brisker performance from iBurst tonight. My UTD is sub-optimally placed because I'm too lazy to run a cable all the way to the other end of the house, but both local and international latency are much improved in terms of round-trip and stability. This makes browsing web pages visibly snappier. Kudos to iBurst on a significant improvement in service, let's hope it lasts.
