It’s been a 3 year roller coaster ride. We have enjoyed ourselves, sometimes. But all good things must come to an end and all that. I think we have reached a point where enough is enough. There is only so much your face can take after repeatedly smashing it against a wall. It seems like we are fighting a multi-million dollar company whose sole purpose is to destroy every last bit of fun hardcore guilds can have

Heheh p0wn3d by Aprils fools day eh ??
Same with the mod you install that makes you roll high numbers everytime.
Pretty funny once you go look at the code what it really does.

Mmm i looked at the post, then looked at date of post, and laughed :D

o_O really?

I heard of it yesterday...only today that I see it on a website...

Nihilum's reasoning were the same as mine when i stopped wow a couple months back (not the PTR, the casuals) Yes i am an elitist, no point to a game when the challenges are spoon-fed

I'm guessing it's a 1 April spoof of Risen's departure from the raid scene earlier this year.

Dunno, looks like it might not be a joke. Posted on 31 March? Poorly chosen date if it is true.

So do the hardcore raid guilds feel that WoW's too easy or something? What's the beef here, when they talk about "smashing their faces into a wall"?

Beats me. I figure they feel that once they conquer RaidX, they should be the only ones allowed access to said raid instance.

After all the respect the entire WoW community gives them for leading the way, this is how the pioneers react? Like spoilt children who've had their lolly taken away?
/sigh

Still think it's a prank though. I'm certain they'll be there in WotLK swinging their big e-peens around as usual. Even if some of Nihilum quits, I doubt all will be, a lot if not most will simply be absorbed into other top-end raiding guilds. And even if they do somehow all quit, so what, someone else will step up. Before Nihilum it was FoH, or D&T, etc etc. Next year's heroes will simply have another name.

So they only need 20 members for the 25 man raids...damn they are good

Well, from my point of view taking the race away turned sunwell into a bit of a joke. Half the fun at high end raiding is the race and with the gates now opening at fixed times the "rush" is out of the picture.

Who cares really? Cheers to them, don't let the door smack you on the way out.
They may be the guild with most first boss kills, but the few times I have read their comments on some classes it was really dumstruck one sided.
Do they still believe MM hunters are best hunter dps class, and that hunters should not even future in the top 10 dps positions?

I'm inclined to believe it's just an April Fools joke myself.
I know there were a few grumblings from Nihilum when the Badge Rewards were being previewed but I don't see them dropping WoW as a professionally sponsored Guild unless they're taking up one of the new MMO's and because Conan and Warhammer aren't out yet I find that highly unlikely.

@werries2
You tend to find a general attitude amongst a lot of guilds.
Back on my first Rogue I was in a guild that hated Rogues and refused to heal them. The reason for this was that the Rogues they had sucked hard.
I then went to a guild were the Rogues were so good we dropped Hunters and Mages Raid spots to take more Rogues.
It goes like that sometimes.

And the fact the guild is down to 20 members?

Cmon guys... this is not rocket science... its a joke.
Do you honestly think their core members / class leaders would join 5 man guilds called "mercenaries for hire" ???

If there was a 0.00000001 % chance of this being true, you would see their core members flocking to other high end raiding guilds...

Ok baaaai, end of discussion... dont be n00bs.
