Nihilum quits WoW

Some realms had their gates opened earlier because they completed the war supplies quicker than other realms. All depended on the amount of people contributing towards the goal of the opening of the gates. Obviously high population realms had an advantage.

Meaning when the gates opened, you could start raiding AQ ... while other realms had to first complete their quota of war supplies. I remember some realms opening up like months after the first realm was opened.

I dont agree with what blizzard are doing, since they are keeping the progress of high end raiding guilds back now.
 
It always used to be a race to open gates etc. The NEW system is that Blizzard will open bosses 1 at a time on all realms AT THE SAME TIME. ie there is no longer a race. The timing is controlled by blizzard
 
This is not about opening the portal. They are complaining that the bosses wont be accesible until blizard makes them available.
 
Ah ok... Blizz sorta fixed the delay by adding a timer to slow servers

TBH its not the same thing as Nihilum are arguing about

AQ blocking was the ENTIRE instance. Sunwell opens a gate per phase as i believe, so all the guilds of X realm can down the first boss->second boss->third boss... then have to wait for the next gate to unlock or something to that effect. As nihilum have stated, the Race is down to M'uru and Kil'jaden since they will open up at the same time, and haven't been tested, which is why they are pissed

Well think about it this way... say you play in a very high end guild, and ofc its always a rush to clear content.

Now you are reliant on other people before you can progress and kill bosses. So if you have slacker low population server... you sit there, and wait and wait and wait and wait till other people start pulling their finger out to start help with the global goal.

Personally I think its frustrating. The progress of a guild is now hampered and dependant on the other guilds / players on the realm. So whats the alternative ? It means the high end guilds have to grind themselves to death to help carry the load of the slackers to allow them to progress... either that or sit and wait it out... Naah frustrating I would say.

Exactly... I'm glad we're still in BT, still got a while before we become suicidal and visit Sunwell

The Shifting Sands quest line allowed guilds to push the progress faster, like sunwell there were server wide objectives but with enough push a server would open the gates faster than other servers.

In sunwell all servers have the gates opened at exactly the same time removing the race and leaving the top guilds with nothing to do but wait for the gates to open which is very different from the AQ gates. At worst the gates will be opened during maintanence leaving EU a day behind US

Only Muru/Kil'jaeden will be a race since nobody has had a chance to test Kil'Jaeden on the PTR and even then it is possible that Nihilum won't get the first kill since roughly 300 guilds will have Twins down by then.

EDIT: It was originally planned to be similar to AQ with Server progress unlocking the gates (essence of immortals quests). However at the last minute Blizzard removed the quest line and decided to open the gates at a fixed time.

I think thats just "splitting hairs". Its just a much more elaborate system which has been refined, One that I think puts all the guilds in a simular playing field

(I'm talking the "elite" guilds here, Even if some low down nothing guild enters at the same time, You can really think they will clear first, unless by pure utter luck, and then I think they deserve the glory).

They said in their original "we quit joke" that they actually wanted a scenario where they could play a game that was new, and unexpected, yet they moan at the same time about the fact that it wasn't tested... They confuse me? The delayed gates have just given them exactly what they want

LOL well thats exactly my point :)

BTW: I sure as hell wouldn't mind being paid to play either, and might biatch as well if my sponsors moved to a better team. Just means I need to jack up my game.

Thats the reason they are bi@tching, their characters had issues on the PTR, so they couldn't learn tactics and test strategies... when they eventually got onto the PTR they were behind, and didn't get much time to test the encounters. Its hard to jack up your game when there are factors you can't influence

Although, take Naxx... they were 58th on the world kills or something for the first Naxx boss (i forget its name), yet they managed to catch up AND get worlds first KZ kill

Dont think its bitching, it just elaborate spin to keep a high profile not unlike any political or business race. They just spun 10 million wow players, not ever Bob in Zim is that good.

At Kalvaer - So does that mean we are all in "low down nothing guilds", thanks for that.
 
Yea... I am pretty confident they will be the first to clear sunwell, granting there is no realm progress restriction as per AQ gates.

They just have this way in which they FLY through content once they get on the roll. These guys were downing bosses like Vashj when she was soooo bugged, and they had to figure out the tactics on their own... no write-ups and guides to follow. Yea I would almost put money on it, they will be the first to clear sunwell.

If a company sponsored us lets say a R 15k per month salary take home, for playing wow. We would have time to gear up and move from Raid to Raid. Meaning we would be number 1 in the world. Anyone can play that league if you have the time to spend getting gear and progressing on ;)

Come on, which SA company is going to sponsor 40 people a salary to play wow ?

true... then again, constantly playing wow 24/7 must suck, sure its fun playing daily. But i highly doubt i'd survive doing it as my job

Never heard of them before this. Granted I dont sit back and search google day in and day out for what the EU guilds are doing and how far ahead they are of me and my guild, But blah..

@Blatman, I included myself in that with the no name guilds. My guild is ranked 5th on our server, and 3891th in the world. But the guilds we are talking about here are basically the top 10. My guild used to be the best in the world with some games a few years ago, Now all these "leet" players who get paid, more than likely dont even know who we are (just as bad as I dont know them maybe), Things change. With gaming getting more and more popular, its got to be expected.

Also not so sure about how they "spun people".. The first post on their forums with the" I Quit post" said that it was April fools right away, That in its own means they didn't fool anyone. Yet, here I am, who never heard of them previously, talking about them anyway :confused:

OH and Pitbull, I think you know I've said before I wont reroll because I'm too lazy (and I hate SA ventrillo servers). But if you find somebody to pay R 15k a month to play, I'll be there in 2 secs flat and even give you 10 hours a day playtime, 6 days a week :D
