Its happened before. in SB Beta, we were the first to get our city placed and ranked up. 6 Other guilds grouped up and baned us, Destorying our city. We reformed as mercs and sold to the highest bidder during wars and at one point, even split our forces in two as we fought along side with both opposing factions at the same time, killing both of the trees.

Regardless, I've learnt to rather just not say anything on the 1st of April anymore as I usually end up being the one to get it wrong

After reading the interview, Nihilum sounded bleak about not getting onto the PTR with enough time to try the bosses

well its gotta be a very good joke, because if you check the old members armories you will notice that most of them have moved to different guild or are guildless.
 
only 14 members today, guess I could ask them to raid with my guild dont want them spamming LFG.

I get paid a shyt load of money to just play WoW every day. And I give that up for a normal day job :confused:

If that is true, these dudes are so bloody stupid :D

But I'll call their bluff ;)

Guys THEY GET PAID A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO PLAY WOW ! no way I would give up such a nice day job :D

Doesn't help when you job turns on you... and masticates you in the glutous. Their argument is PTR's have ruined the game

So they try and make a statement to try and force Blizards's hand ?
If so, people like that always end up second best. If that is the case, they will end up crying and begging to come back again in a month or so. By then they will be shown the door :D

If its true it does not surprise me at all, someone was saying something about them getting paid to play, personaly i think thats irrelavant, for someone to enjoy a game hes got to be having fun doing it, hardcore players rely on the "competition" aspect and the race to be the best on the server or the world is where they find their fun, their motives may be a little more focused on loots than the social aspect of the game but thats their prerogative, same thing with casuals who enjoy just runing around enjoying the scenery or jumping off cliffs or watever it is they enjoy doing, everyone is entitled to do wat they enjoy.

Blizz has taken pretty much every bit of motivation or fun away from hardcore players, at the same time blizz has given all players a chance to see the end game content, only thing is its quite pointless coz if you cant clear SSC and TK i dunno wtf u think u gonna do in MH and BT.?

One thing thats quite annoying is the idea that some ppl acuse hardcore players of thinking they the only ones that deserve to see the content, thats total bull****, the content is there for everyone!, if you have not seen any its your own fault for slacking, theres nothing stopping anyone besides themselves.

Personaly i will take sides with the hardcore players, simply coz my motives are building my character to be the greatest warrior and finish the game, if i want to chat il download MIRC, epic gear sohuld go to players that deserve it not to ppl that whine the most or run the same noob instances a million times.

All in all WOTLK is around the corner and all the nerfs/sunwell are just to keep ppl occupied and paying their subscriptions until its released.

Regarding the Gate Locking system

We however do feel that the gate locking system Blizzard has put in place is plain out stupid, even though this April fools joke wasn't intended as a means to "whine" about the issue, we do feel that as a PvE guild we should raise our voices regarding these "walls", and we hope that other PvE guilds feel the same. As an old school raider from all the way back in Everquest, I have to say that including a system like this is extremely discouraging and basically ruins the whole spirit and essence of PvE for guilds that follow the old school ways. PvE races have been in the nature of MMORPGs since the dawn of time. Why do Blizzard want to ruin that?

Personally I have never heard of these guys and dont know who the hell they are. But from what you guys have said and what I have read now. I personally think the whole april fools thing and the quote above have a lot more meaning.

This is not a new system, and Bliz did it previously as well, so why complain now?

To me it seems that they are peeved off because with the current system, they might not be the first to clear sunwell, It all depends on others in their server as to when they can actually get in. You'll more than likely find out that they also get bonus' paid to them based on how quickly they do it, and bigger bonus' based on if they are first or not. With the current system they might lose this money, Hence their disagreement with the system. It also wouldn't surprise me if the whole "we quit" BS was to make their sponsors think that they are loved by the EU community, and even if they dont get first clear, its not thier fault so deserve more money.
