No International! Again

It's 11:10 and I can't access any rapidshare stuff. Anyone else on mweb uncapped having this problem?

Just saw this on the FTW FB page, not sure how reliable it is:

"Hi, with regret, I confirm that we have lost a portion of our international bandwidth. The failure affects all ISP's and customers using SEACOM services and has been localized to a circuit between Marseilles and London. I am personally managing the escalation directly with SEACOM executives - they have indicated that TATA communications is also down in Europe."

from twitter a few mins ago.

SeacomLive Seacom switches on direct cable link to Europe | East African seaboard to Europe using a more direct route. http://bit.ly/bO8BiO

We are experiencing an intermittent International ADSL connectivity problem. Our upstream service providers' engineers are investigating the cause of the problem. We will post more details here shortly once we have more information.

We sincerely apologize for the disruption in service and we thank you for your patience.

My international is really wierd. Sometimes click on a link and it's like bryan habana being chased by 20 policemen and then click on another link and it's slow as hell!!

Only international sites which I know I don't have cached and on 512 mweb.

This is just ridiculous... I can hardly access anything (Even Mybroadband struggles and Google.co.za works some of the time), but facebook works just fine. Last time Seacom was down and all connections were routed through SAT-3 (Or something like that) hardly anything worked (including Google.co.za), but facebook was just fine. Why do they give so much priority to facespace instead of giving that priority to a site like Google???

Go sign up for WebAfrica prepaid and use it at times like these :) I was up and running again in a couple of minutes.
